The Fish
(February 19 - March 20)

The month of February has been a focus of love for me. Love within its universal form. As one of the highest frequencies to align with. This is one of the core essences of Pisces; the softening into love without power dynamics, control… love that is non transactional. A love for the present moment. A love for the Self. A love for the beauty that can still be felt within a world which, more now than any other time in history, we can see with our eyes and hear with our ears the horrors and crimes that continue against the web of life. Pisces aims to mend this web… and after the electrical pulses our messenger and protector (Aquarius) has sent up to the heavens, the ocean above us, Pisces now knows the concerns of Aquarius and what it sees… and holds its heart open for us all.

With Saturn transiting Pisces we are asked to review our structures to the unknown. To “God”. To “Source”. To the ever-present guiding forces that thread us together.

As we move through each season, we are presented with different medicines. That of earth, air, fire, and water. Here we are presented with the medicine of Water. Water teaches us to flow in a state of non-resistance. Allowing. Softening to what is.

It does at times remind me of those scenes in movies of someone being beat down horribly and they withstand the trauma because of their love for someone, for life.. they smile with blood in their teeth. These waters are the waters of the collective. The collective holds both the shadow of human-ness and it’s glorious light.

This can weight heavy on Pisces, our dreamer… who at times… due to feeling so much of what is around them (from plant to person), they are prone to disassociation. Escapism. Longing for a dream yet never placing into action; they happily float in the space of colours that paint the picture. In some truth here, Pisces is not the archetype to be on the ground floor organizing the people. So, we can’t fault it for its vices when its feelingscape leads to escape.

I digress; Again, with Saturn here… we do need some structure. We want to actualize a future for the heart of existence. Saturn says, what do you believe? Are you open? Are you controlling? Do you not trust? Are you willing to pray? Have you prayed today? Do you sit to honor the self and those before you?

It says, slow down.

Pisces guards the liminal space. See, we’re at a point of completion. We hung in the door way in January and within Aquarius, to see the old and be jolted into the new. And now we become undone to prepare for a rebirth in spring and through Aries. There’s a deeply felt connection to the collective consciousness. Waves. Mirrors. The ocean. Rules by Jupiter & Neptune, this is an optimistic and expansive energy that ties us to other worlds.

Water can seep through cracks..

It’s time to reinforce our boundaries. Pisces owns the 12th house domain and all that is hidden, beneath and yet above, between and around. This is our psychic space. Our subconscious. And the ways we need our sacred solitude.

This season, place yourself in the shoes of Pisces. Work with the feminine principles of reciprocity and manifest through ease and flow; non forcing, non efforting. Become the mirror, the witness and the artist. Painting what you see, so others can understand you. Open ears, eyes, mind, heart. Find stillness. Dream. Hold your sleep as sacred.
